By late November, anonymously leaked security camera footage showed Lambesis and his then-wife, Dany Lambesis, in heated altercations at their home. Lambesis’ Response to the Leaked Videos
Shortly after the footage emerged, Lambesis issued a public statement claiming he had filed for divorce from Dany just one day before the leaks began. He accused Dany of subjecting him to three years of physical and mental abuse, adding that he had filed for a restraining order against her. Lambesis also stated that he was working with authorities to submit what he described as evidence of the alleged abuse as part of an ongoing domestic violence investigation.
In his statement, Lambesis attributed his erratic behavior in the footage to “anxiety-filled reactions and defenses.” For her part, Dany refuted claims of abuse in late October, around the time speculation first began over the band’s internal turmoil.

Since the fallout last November, the controversy surrounding Lambesis had quieted—until January 15th, when the musician participated in his first interview since the leaked footage.
In the interview, Lambesis revisited his past traumas, including his time in prison following his 2013 arrest for attempting to hire a hitman to murder his then-wife. After pleading guilty, he served several years behind bars before being released on parole.
Lambesis also addressed the recent departure of his bandmates and opened up about his ongoing struggles with mental health, which he claims have persisted since his legal troubles began.
