Mount Rinjani National Park in Indonesia confirmed on Monday, 23, that Brazilian Juliana Marins , 33,was located by a drone operated by rescue teams, three days after disappearing while hiking on the Rinjani volcano in Lombok.
The Brazilian woman was spotted motionless on a rocky wall at a depth of around 500 meters, but access to the site remains extremely difficult, andThere is still no forecast for the rescue to be completed.
According to an official statement from the park, “at 6:30 am local time [5:30 pm on Sunday in Brazil], the victim was located using a drone, in a position attached to a rocky wall, visually showing no signs of movement.”
The rugged terrain, dense fog and unstable weather conditions havemaking it difficult for rescue teams to advance, which now has two experienced climbers from other regions of Indonesia.
