On Sunday, news broke about a lawsuit filed in California against Fox Sports, naming several high-profile individuals, including on-air talents Skip Bayless and Joy Taylor, as well as Fox Sports executive Charlie Dixon. The 42-page lawsuit, brought by hairstylist Noushin Faraji, who worked at Fox Sports from 2012 to 2024, alleges a toxic workplace environment involving sexual harassment, racially insensitive remarks, and manipulative professional relationships.
Faraji claims to have endured harassment from Bayless and Dixon, alongside racially charged comments from Taylor. Additionally, the lawsuit alleges that Taylor engaged in relationships with both Dixon and former NFL player-turned-analyst Emmanuel Acho to secure career advancements.
Fox Sports responded to the allegations with a statement to Front Office Sports:
“We take these allegations seriously and have no further comment at this time given this pending litigation.”
Allegations Against Skip Bayless
Faraji alleges that Skip Bayless made repeated advances toward her during her time at Fox Sports, culminating in an alleged offer of $1.5 million for a sexual encounter. She claims to have consistently turned down Bayless, even revealing a health condition—ovarian cancer—in an effort to dissuade his advances. Faraji reported these incidents to Taylor, who allegedly dismissed her concerns, advising her to “get over it.”
Joy Taylor and Allegations of Workplace Misconduct
Faraji’s lawsuit paints a troubling picture of Taylor’s behavior, accusing her of creating a hostile work environment. It also alleges that Taylor leveraged personal relationships with Dixon and Acho to gain influence at the network.
The lawsuit recounts an incident in February 2020 when Taylor invited Faraji to lunch in Beverly Hills. Upon arrival, Faraji found Taylor dining with Emmanuel Acho, with whom she appeared romantically involved. Faraji later noticed Acho at Fox Sports offices and confronted Taylor about their relationship. According to the lawsuit, Taylor admitted to the relationship and revealed her intentions to use Acho’s influence to advance her career on Speak for Yourself.
The allegations take a darker turn when Faraji claims Taylor had a calculated plan to accuse Dixon of sexual misconduct once his influence was no longer beneficial to her. Taylor allegedly assured Faraji not to worry about the risks of engaging with both Dixon and Acho simultaneously, stating she had become “powerful enough” to manage the situation.
Suspicious Activity Fuels Speculation
While neither Emmanuel Acho nor Joy Taylor have publicly addressed the allegations, online activity has raised eyebrows. Fans noticed that Acho recently deleted a video from 2022 in which he praised Taylor. In the video, filmed from his car, Acho spoke highly of Taylor’s accomplishments as a Black woman in sports media.
“A woman. A Black woman. Daily Show. Sports. Do you realize how hard it is to get to the position that she is in?” Acho remarked.
“So often there’s misogyny and sexism running rampant in sports, and we don’t even care what women have to say. But Joy is not only in the position on television as a Black woman but as an opinionist… Joy, you have done it, so congratulations. Looking forward to working with you.”
What’s Next for Fox Sports?
The lawsuit sheds light on allegations of deep-seated issues within Fox Sports’ workplace culture, echoing concerns about misogyny, racism, and power imbalances in the media industry. While the claims remain unproven, they raise questions about accountability and the professional dynamics at one of the largest sports networks in the world.
As the legal proceedings unfold, the network and the individuals involved are under intense scrutiny. For now, both fans and industry insiders await further developments, with no statements from Taylor, Acho, or Bayless as of yet.
